Australian Retreats 2009 - His Eminence the 17th Dzogchen Rinpoche

Three-Day Retreat - Spontaneous Peace

McLaren Flat, SA - 5th November to 8th November
Brisbane, QLD - 19th November to 22nd November

When we look outside ourselves for happiness, lasting joy eludes us. External phenomena are impermanent yet we are trapped by our continuous desire and expectation for long-term happiness. When we turn our mind in, we discover an inner balance undisturbed by anger, attachment and ignorance. Over three days, Dzogchen Rinpoche will explain that when the mind completely rests, natural great peace spontaneously arises like the meeting of mother and child.

Five-Day Retreat - Circle of the 12 links of Interdependent Cooperation

Wensleydale, VIC - 1st December to 6th December

Life and death are interdependent but we suffer by resisting this natural cycle. Our mind is the creator of all that exists, causing the endless circle of karmic existence and separating us from our true nature. During this Dzogchen retreat His Eminence will explain that by understanding the interconnected nature of physical form we can go to the root of our suffering. When we are free from the development of the 12 links of interdependent cooperation we can live and die peacefully.
